Today I was bad - so sad, because I felt like yesterday came off so splendidly!
Back to square one on that diet… I had some “cheat” foods today and I feel so full - it’s awful. I’m so glad I’m not an eating disorder victim, or I would definitely be getting sick right now! I got to the point where I was full, but just kept eating… you know how that is?
Good thing tomorrow is an 8 miler and sprint day. I feel awful and I have got to get my head back in the right place to move forward and stick to those foods.
Here’s the evil list from today: (cheat foods are in bold)
1/2 banana - 7:30
1/2 banana, rice cereal, almonds - 10:15
fruit leather/.25 lara, sports drink - 11:30
hard boiled egg, bell pepper, onion, squash, tomato, spinach, lettuce, salad, broccoli, cucumber, olive oil, annie’s salad dressing (laaaarge salad) - 1:45
.25 dark chocolate, .5 serving sugarfree gummy bears - 4:00
“white chocolate” and “dark chocolate” peanut butter, plum - 6:15
2 gluten-free blueberry muffins, chicken, rice cereal “treat “- 7:30-8
Tomorrow is a new day. Here we go. (no more muffins, cereal treats, or peanut butter… I have this awful tendency of thinking “I blew it already so who cares?” which allows me to justify continuing to eat. the foods I “cheated” on today are the ones that seem to be wreaking havoc with my digestive system. so why do I do this? why? ha. oh the confusing labrynth of my mind and its processes…)
I need some sort of “punishment” for myself to keep me on track. something that I will deprive myself of - or something along those lines - if I continue to cheat…

We all have bad days… no big deal.
I actually heard something recently that having a “spike day” (where you consume a lot of extra calories) about once every 1 or 2 weeks can actuallty help you maintain a healthy metabolism. It sort of makes sense… so long as everyday isn’t a spike day. ![]()
